The Plight of Townhall in Trichy District[TamilNadu]

What was once seen a a pride of Trichy District besides rockfort is in shambles now. Great leaders like Nehru, Sarojini NAidu, Mahatma GAndhi to name a few , I was told have all spoke from this place.It houses a Police Station Revenue Inspector office, A musesm[Fort of Rani Mangammal] besides post office. The place i was told is under the supervision of PWD which comes under the control of the collector. The place with succh a historical past has been converted into garbage collection point, parking lot, place for urinating and place for 50-60 beggars who live through the day. The stench is so ...........[ I do not have words to express the feeling] that people staying in the street call Single Mall Street find it hard to even come out of thie houses. Besides this the metrowater line , I was told runs below the plave where people urinate May be we thought CNN IBN could do something for us if it could by sending the reporters and speaking to the people living close by I can provide you with contact details I shall look forward to you call/ mail and hope CNN /IBN and rajdeep sardesai could take up this matter with the respective authorities and sort it out for us.
